I was recently in Kailua-Kona HI about 6 weeks ago where I saw (and purchased) my first pair of Oofos. This was after my plantar faciatis flared up, even with my Dansko's being religiously worn. It used to be that was the only shoe I could wear and was really troubled by the fact that even THEY were not changing the terrible pain in my feet. THe other really looming challenge was that I was leaving for Africa in two weeks to work in Africa in a Pediatric AIDS Hospice. When in Africa, my normal course is to walk an average of 30 miles per day. Plantar faciatis would be a terrible problem for me. So, in desperation, I purchased a pair of Oofos. Here is the rest of the story...

I wore the sandals for the 10 days in Hawaii with a complete reversal of the pain in my feet. I wore them for the next month in Africa and walked no less than 15 miles per day with NO PAIN in my feet. Please understand how unheard of this is! I have the pink sandals and they look only a little worse for wear after being worn in red dirt of West Africa, schlepping my way through the interior of the jungle, walking through the Atlantic Ocean and sand...GADS! I sound like a flipping commercial! I am telling you, these shoes really work...AND they hold up extremely well. I would be glad to send you a picture with me in Africa working in an AIDS hospice in my Oofos...trying to do good in the world...wearing sandals that are doing great for my feet. If you want to hear more, please email me. ALSO, I would love a free pair of these amazing sandals. My feet are smiling, along with my heart, knowing that my efforts in Africa were not impacted by the pain in my feet.

Hey great website! Does running a blog similar to this
take a great deal of work? I have very little
expertise in computer programming however I had been hoping to start my own blog soon.
Anyways, should you have any suggestions or tips for
new blog owners please share. I know this is off topic however I simply had to ask.
Thank you!

Great review Brian, you covered everything well. One thing though, if I had to repair my bike on the road I don't think my friends would be envious of my tool, they would be making fun of my bike breaking! All silliness aside, I actually do use my at home because it's stored in the seat bag, and I'm too lazy to go the tool box and get the normal size tools, it seems to be holding up fine.

Nathan,

In order for them to sell at Wal-Mart, they would have to throw quality out the window in order to meet a price point. Companies like Footbike specify high quality components throughout, and price their products accordingly. Mongoose and Schwinn are no longer as respected as they once were. Their "bikes" that you see at Wal-Mart are priced as low as they are because they are made with the least expensive components available.
