Giving cyclists a bad name

I just read this article, about the bombing of a military recruiting office in New York. If the bomber was indeed on a bicycle, that really makes us look bad. I can’t really let the irony of the situation go, though. Blowing something up to protest war is just too much.

On the plus side, maybe some of the bicycle commuters in NYC will get a bit more slack from motorists…

And your flippant comment stating “On the plus side, maybe some of the bicycle commuters in NYC will get a bit more slack from motorists…” isn’t going to make bicyclists look bad?

They saw a man on a bicycle wearing a backpack… I’m sure that’s such a rare occurrence in NYC that he -must- have had something to do with it…

Funny how they can notice the cyclist then but not when piloting their SUVs.

I don’t know — when cars crash into banks and supermarkets, it’s not like we worry about these incidents giving motorists a bad name.

Maybe instead of using a bike he should have crashed a hummer into the office.
