Almost missed this one in my inbox. Since I despise velcro, I’m hoping to give this a closer look. The idea of using really small, powerful magnets in this application makes a lot of sense, unless it interferes with electronics or a compass. We’ll try to get one for review, and possibly for an upcoming giveaway.
Acclaimed, patented retractable reel device adapted from the revolutionary
Showers Pass VelEau bike hydration system upgrade for ALL hydration systems
PORTLAND, Ore. – Showers Pass, who launched the revolutionary VelEau™ bicycle-mounted hydration system last year, has now introduced the LapelEau™, adapting the VelEau’s patented drinking‑hose attachment reel for use on any hydration backpack, announced Showers Pass Co‑President Ed Dalton.
Most hydration backpacks utilize a clumsy Velcro attachment to hold the drinking tube in place. The Showers Pass LapelEau changes all that – for the better. LapelEau fits on any hydration backpack and makes reaching for the drinking tube a snap.
Using the VelEau system’s unique patent-pending magnetic retractable reel technology, the LapelEau keeps the drinking tube from flopping around thanks to neodymium ring magnets on the tube clip – providing just enough retention force to keep the tube where you want it. So, whether you’re a runner, hiker, or cyclist who prefers a hydration backpack, the LapelEau keeps your hydration tube close at hand and under control. MSRP is $12.
