The products that we’re most excited about sharing are those that offer innovation, value, quality, and performance. Things that are new and different for the sake of being new and different generally won’t cut it. But when something makes a task easier, helps you perform better, or turns a mundane activity into something more fun, then we’re going to bring it to our reader’s attention. OOFOS is one such brand. After a few of our contributors tried them out, and found out just how comfortable they were, we had Mrs. Outsider offer her opinion. I’m a big flip flop, thong, or whatever you want to call them fan. When I find a nice pair I really like, I’ll wear them until they’re falling apart. If I could, I would go bare foot, except in the winter. Unfortunately, I don’t have that choice due to having Type 1 diabetes. And it’s about time the season for wearing them is here! Which made me pretty excited about trying out a pair of OOFOS. At first I was unsure how I would like them, as they are not like my normal flip flops or thongs I would wear. But when I saw them at the Outdoor Retailer show, the first thing I fell in love with was the color selection! The OOriginal Thong comes in black, navy, fuchsia, plum, and aqua. I chose the black ones to review but I will definitely be looking into buying a pair of the fuchsia ones. Not because they are pink but because I don’t think I will ever be able to wear another uncomfortable, unsupportive flip flop again.
As soon as I slid on my first pair I said “oooh these are nice”. Then I put them to the test. I walked around the house, wore them after my gym work outs, went out shopping, and I even did my house cleaning in them. Usually I like to do my house cleaning bare foot, but I didn’t want to take them off. They where that comfortable I wore them all day without taking them off for a second. I felt they did give me that energy to keep going. Like I said, I am a diabetic and I’m very picky when it comes to shoes or sandals for my feet. OOFOS provided support that I didn’t realize was missing. And after wearing regular shoes all day, they are nice to put on. No socks, so they stay cool. And they really do make you feel lighter on your feet after a long day. I would recommend OOFOS to all my friends and family. In fact I know three people off the top of my head that wear them and love them! My 14 year old daughter has a pair of the OOriginal Thongs in tangerine. When it was basketball season she would wear them after practice and her games. My sister wears hers after working out, going to teach a yoga class, or just around the house. We feel like the OOFOS family mission “Make Yoo Feel Better” is not just marketing. They want people to feel better, and it’s working.
