Polar Bottle® Student Design Contest Winners Now Available Online

Boulder, CO ‘” Polar Bottle® is excited to announce that the winning bottles from a children‘s water bottle design contest the company hosted late last year are now on sale on www.polarbottle.com.

The design contest, which Polar Bottle® hosted as part of its sponsorship of the Dairy Center for the Arts Bike Art exhibit, called on students from across Boulder County to submit one-of-a-kind designs for a 20oz Polar Bottle® sport bottle. Six winners were selected from among more than 100 submissions from various local elementary, middle and high schools.

The winning designs were unveiled at the Bike Art exhibit opening in December. After receiving dozens of requests to purchase the winning designs, Polar Bottle® arranged to sell the bottles as part of its line of Polar Bottle® Benefit Bottles supporting a range of charities, nonprofits and advocacy groups. For every $14.99 bottle sold, $5 is donated back to the charity represented on the bottle.

Five of the winning bottle designs have been built into bottles and are currently available for sale. The remaining bottle was not included because of issues contacting the artist.

The artists themselves selected the charities that will benefit from bottle sales. High School senior Kelley decided on Children‘s Hospital Colorado; Casey Middle School student, Julia, chose international conservation team WILDCOAST; Joseph, a 3rd grader at Eldorado K-8 School, chose to donate the proceeds from his bottle to Food Bank of the Rockies; Katie, a junior at Boulder High School, opted to support housing group Growing Home with her bottle; and the Longmont Humane Society will benefit from the bottle designed by seventh grader Katelin from Erie Middle School.

The Made in America bottles fit standard bike water bottle cages and feature a convenient, removable carrying strap. Like all Polar Bottle® products, the bottles are, and always have been, BPA-free and Phthalate-free.
