Trips for Kids and Beeline Bikes Team up Through Plus 3 Network to Raise Awareness and Funding

SAN CARLOS and SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – March 26, 2014 – Combining a universal passion for cycling, a growing participation in community service and the power of social networking, Trips for Kids International (TFK) and Beeline Bikes are teaming up to raise funds and awareness through Plus 3 Network.

Since the Trips for Kids “clubhouse” was launched on Plus 3 Network in 2013, their sponsors and over 1,000 clubhouse members have generated more than $15,000 for Trips for Kids, an international organization that provides mountain bike outings for low income, at-risk youth. Beeline joins the clubhouse as TFK’s latest sponsor.

“With so many people active in helping us spread the Trips for Kids message it was a Trips for Kids Beeline Plus 3 Clubhouse natural to funnel all that energy through Plus 3 Network,” said Marilyn Price, executive director of Trips for Kids. “We want to thank Beeline for making it possible for our international chapters and supporters to contribute even more through simply logging their daily activities online.”

Beeline is a bicycle repair company operating a fleet of self-contained mobile bicycle repair shops serving the San Francisco Bay Area.

“Using bikes as a vehicle for change, Trips for Kids provides a unique service to underserved communities,” said Peter Buhl, Beeline co-founder & CEO. “I look forward to collaborating with Trips for Kids and Plus 3 to drive more engagement on Plus 3 Network and more support for the Trips for Kids organization.”

A sponsor of TFK’s mission, Plus 3 Network is a corporate wellbeing program, which allows companies and their employees to raise funds for the cause of their choice by using Plus 3’s web and mobile technologies to log their bike rides, hikes and even time spent in the garden. Since the company was started in 2009, more than $1,000,000 donations for more than 60 charities has been raised.

“Bikes and kids are a natural and Trips for Kids taps into that synergy with their mission,” said Rick Sutton, co-founder & CEO of Plus 3 Network. “We are thrilled to work with Beeline Bikes and Trips for Kids to get out their message and help support their communities.”
